A sculpture born from pieces of lampshades that no longer served their purpose, now balancing their way up to culminate in a shiny brass egg. Just below, a piece with a fluted surface and greenish patina acts as a shadow or a hat, breaking up the golden tone with a more muted colour. The central shaft, with its scaly relief, gives it an almost palm-trunk-like appearance. The whole rests on a round base that provides stability and a more sober touch. Another example of how these disparate pieces find, together, a new purpose.
