Industrial mickey
This sculpture receives an industrial touch with the gears in the shape of ears. There are sewing machines that represent hips and legs, while the rest are everyday items such as pans, knobs, and fragments of lamps.
Mickey’s defiant stance, with his hands on his waist, suggests a cheeky attitude towards those who look at him to recognize him.
With the contrast between everyday objects and machinery, my intention is to invite reflection on the interaction between technology and everyday life.
