Infanta Margarita

The infanta is a five-year-old girl at the time of the painting and the entire representation of Las Meninas revolves around her.

Just as I imagined her, this girl would live between the innocence of her childhood and the obligations and rules that her customs and etiquette imposed on her. That is why I wanted to build it evidencing this duality, reflecting it in such a way that one hip is made with a simple sewing machine, without painting or embellishment, and the other is represented with a lacquered machine decorated with gold.
