The Wanderer

Two round ears, like upturned bowls, crown a flat, circular face made from a frying pan, with a central knob that serves as a nose and lends an almost comical touch of expressiveness. From the head emerges a very long, thin iron body, which drops straight down before curving at the ground to form a sinuous, free-flowing tail. This tail, full of twists and undulations, contrasts with the geometric rigidity of the head and introduces movement to the entire composition. The reduction of the character to basic shapes—the circle and the line—makes for an immediate and at the same time highly refined interpretation.
