Interpretations
Here you will find sculptures that have been created “only” with elements of a single object.
Constructive process
I have always been interested in knowing how objects worked and from a very young age I took them apart to understand them
Reassembling the pieces following a purely aesthetic criterion and functional fit of the pieces with which this object was designed, gives rise to sculptures that maintain the soul and, if you allow me, the energy of the object
The aim is to recycle this object respecting the construction of each of the elements, to achieve aesthetically harmonious and pleasant sculptures.
I have called this ‘Interpretations’
An ‘Interpretation’ is a sculpture created with the elements of an object such as a sewing or writing machine, and with the following premises:
The pieces remain intact. No holes, cuts or bends are made. For the joining of the pieces, the screws, molds and clips of the object itself are loosened and no external elements or glues are used
The process is like this:
The object is de-constructed piece by piece. The pieces are chosen and assembled to create the sculpture. One or several sculptures can emerge from the object to be ‘interpreted’. The works are made with the object’s own materials, basically ferrous materials
