Spanish Mastiff

In the foreground of the painting “Las meninas” you can see a dog, a Spanish mastiff, which is in a resting attitude.

Although he is resting, I imagine the mastiff standing and ready to defend his clan. It is a well-kept and well-fed dog, whom the infanta loves very much. That’s why I made part of his body made up of golden elements, because he’s also a bit of a king of the house.
