Mantis
In this sculpture I want to explore the transformations that species have undergone due to climate change. The recycled materials are integrated with the wood and create a perfect fusion between nature and human elements.
The limbs of the Mantis, made from recycled elements, are a reminder of how our everyday waste can affect nature and the creatures that inhabit it. As species adapt and evolve to survive in a changing environment, this sculpture captures the Mantis’ ability to adapt and transform in a new context.
