The harvest

This sculpture was the winning proposal of the “Oliverart 2022” competition of the “Oil Culture Center of Catalonia” and is exhibited at the Mirador de Bovera de la Granadella.

I wanted to remember the hardness of olive harvesting when it was done manually and what was represented with an interpretation of the rake or crank that was handled. There are also references to the Catalan flag of the four spikes.

The sculpture is made with 20 mm round tube and finished with natural rust that evolves over time.
